Hey, guys! So, my fanfiction post is taking much longer than expected. :] Since it's still got a ways to go, and it's Easter, I threw this post together in the meantime! I know I already keep it pretty casual on this blog, but I clacked this post out on my keyboard in a few hours, so if it sounds like a fever dream, please don't let that dissuade you from checking the songs out.
This blog is a place for anyone to find clean content, but a lot of the readers who have been reaching out to me are Christian, so I knew some of you would enjoy this post. ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ Even if you aren’t Christian, these songs are pretty fun, so give them a listen! Happy Easter!
#1 ONE HOUSE, CalledOut Music, Rose Meregini - "Just Fine"
To be honest, I’m not even sure if this is a Christian song, haha. I’m pretty sure I found this through Spotify’s forceful recommendations of music while I was playing my Christian playlist (*cries free Spotify account tears*). I think you can interpret it either way you want to, but I did add it to my Christian playlist. XD
This song is so groovy and calming at the same time. I love it. My friend from Ghana has been recommending music to me and this sounds like her Afro music, though I’m not sure where the singers are from.
**Since my parents might read this, I should specify that they got me a Spotify premium account for Christmas, so I no longer have music recommendations forced on me. Thanks, parents. (•ᴗ<˶)✧₊
#2 Cade Thompson - "Empty Room"
I actually have seen Cade Thompson perform live! His music is really awesome and underrated, so you guys should check him out. This is one of my favorites from his newest album! What I like about his music, especially this album, is that it feels relevant and it is so energizing.
If I had to say anything else, some of the kids at the concert told me that the instrument parts Cade's band was playing were impressive. I play the trumpet--which was not present at this concert--so I'm taking their word for it. (˶^ ᵕ ^˶) Speaking of concerts, this is the perfect song to recreate a concert in your room, so air-guitar away!
#3 Jeremy Camp - "Keep Me in the Moment"
This song played on the radio a couple weeks ago, and I was surprised to find out that it is not brand new. Also, this song is less pop-y or EDM-y than my usual recommendations, so people who like something a little more “raw” (does that make sense?) will enjoy this. Like your parents who grew up in the 20th century, wink wink.
Jokes aside, I'm recommending this song because the message is meaningful to me. I have been trying to be more grateful for the little moments in my day-to-day, and I feel like listening to this song helps me refocus on that. Maybe it will for you, too.
#4 Aaron Cole (ft. TobyMac) - "Right on Time"
I was obsessed with this song when I was in middle school. (´▽` ʃƪ) ♡ Unlike the previous song, this one is heavy on the pop, and the vocals are so catchy! I feel like Aaron Cole is super underrated, and on the other hand, Toby Mac is an icon, so this is the perfect duo for a song.
Once again, since this is an Easter post, I wanted to pick songs with meaningful messages. Although they aren't necessarily related directly to Easter. (ᵕ—ᴗ—) Nevertheless, this is a great song to get you through a tough day, or upcoming final exams if you’re like me.
#5 for King & Country - "Rhythm of My Heart"
I could not make my first Christian songs post without including for KING & COUNTRY! For those of you who read my Kpop posts and know how often I talk about Stray Kids/BTS, for KING & COUNTRY will be the same way in my Christian music posts (if I do more of these).
Personally, I could recommend pretty much any for KING & COUNTRY song, but I picked this one because it felt like a great song to dance to, and also a song that those of you who do listen to a lot of Christian music still may not have heard. Also, I feel like the style of this song adds a little extra variety to this post.
#6 Blessing Offor - "The Roses"
Blessing Offor is another artist at the top of my fave Christian singers. He’s super talented, and I actually found him through a TobyMac collab like Aaron Cole. Pro tip, if you want to find underrated Christian artists, just go through TobyMac’s collabs. ( •ᴗ-)✧
This song always makes me feel better when I need to do chores or just drag myself out of bed. Based on the messages of these songs, I guess the looming finals week really is stressing me out. (^ ▽ ^ ;) Anyway, this song is the perfect pick-me-up for any of you who need it. Also, I like how this song has a similar vibe to my first recommendation, which brings this post full circle.
You made it to the end of the post! Since it's Easter, I'll give you some celebratory claps. *Clap clap clap clap* Nice!
Although this month is going to be hectic, I've almost finished the fanfiction post, so that should come out two weeks from now. I've got a few other posts in the works, so we've got a lot to look forward to! I'm going to try go get another collab like when my brother helped recommend gaming YouTube channels, and I'm working on some more music posts. Now go paint some eggs!
